The funeral of Jimmy D Ramsey will take place at the West Road Crematorium on 9th June at 10:15am

The new season will commence on 8th September 2025.

Confirmation of opening times for membership payment and casual play to be confirmed.

It is with deep sadness we share the news that our friend and fellow bowler Jimmy D. Ramsey died yesterday at Newcastle RVI.

Our thoughts are with Jimmy’s family and friends at this sad time.

The club will be closed from Friday 18 April until Wednesday 7 May at 10am.

A pairs league will be run on Wednesdays from the 7 May until August 13 (15 weeks)

Rinks will also be available for casual bowling (NO BLOCK BOOKINGS)

and

commencing Friday 9 May 10am the green will be available for casual bowling

Session time on both days is 10am to 12 noon only

In advance of our new season starting on the 9th September, we will be open for members to come and pay their membership fee at the following times.

Casual play will also be available on these dates and times

Membership Fees held at £50 for 2024/25 season

Locker Fees held at £6 for 2024/25 season

Payment to be made either by Cash or Cheque

Cheques should be made payable to West Denton IBC Ltd.

We have received the details for the EIBA 2024-2025 Winter National Competitions. As with last year, West Denton will compete in Area 1 (zone 2)

Entries into the individual competitions should be done via the EIBA Competition Portal 

If any club member is not comfortable entering online, entry forms are available to download below.

Following two days of high quality competitive bowls on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April, we now have the club competition winners for this season. As always, commiserations go to our runners up and congratulations to our winners.

In particular we’d like to make special mention of the Men’s Pairs results where Taff Rowlands became our oldest ever winner of the club competitions. Taff is an inspiration and as fit as they come at the age of 90…a very very popular winner.

The playing programme for club finals has been arranged and will take place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of April 2024.

After a series of fantastic performances at the National Finals, our Ladies Over 50s Triples came up just short in the final, eventually losing 17-11 to a strong Swale rink (registered as Sandy Hazell).

We’d like to offer our sincere congratulations to the Swale team on winning the title.

The West Denton team of Ann Lennie, Karen Weites and Heather Smith have performed amazingly at the final and as a club we couldn’t be prouder of you all.
